Acacia Park has Free Meal Bags!

FREE MEAL BAGS: Shelf-stable and simple, our meal bags do not require kitchen tools or cooking skills. And they are kid friendly! Meal bags are located at the front door of the church and are available 24/7 — just stop by and take what you need!

Although this food do not replace a warm, home-cooked meal, we hope these meal bags help relieve the burden of those facing food insecurity, challenging circumstances, or stressful times.

Donate to our ministry with a financial gift or select an item from our Amazon wish list, which will be sent directly to us!

If you are facing food insecurity, need additional resources, or want to speak with someone, reach out to Pastor Tom (pastor.acaciaparkchurch@gmail.com)

A Little Free Library is a community book exchange. It belongs to everyone, and everyone is free to use it!

Take a BookIf you see something you’d like to read, you are welcome to take it. When you’re finished, share it with a friend; bring it back to the church, or leave it in another Little Free Library. (To find other Little Free Libraries in our area or anyplace else, click here.)

Leave a BookIt’s up to everyone to keep this library full of good reads. Bring books to share when you can, and be a friend of Little Free Libraries everywhere. Help support this mission of building community, sparking creativity, and inspiring readers.

Acacia Park Supports St. Cyprian’s Food Pantry

Ways to Get Involved–

DONATE FOOD: Non-perishable food can be donated during United in Faith office hours– Tuesdays and Wednesdays 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Put donations in the shopping cart in the Fellowship Hall–or at St. Cyprian’s Food Pantry on Mondays and Thursdays between 9:00 and 11:00 am. Please contact St. Cyprian’s directly to donate a large quantity of food or to inquire about donating perishable (but unexpired) food items.

DONATE MONEY: Because St. Cyprian’s orders some food from the Greater Chicago Food Depository and also pays an employee to staff the food distribution, money is one of the most needed commodities for its successful work. St. Cyprian’s can buy larger quantities of food from GCFD at lower prices than grocery stores, so please consider donating money.

VOLUNTEER: Volunteers are needed on Mondays and Thursdays during food distribution hours. On most Wednesday mornings, the GCFD makes a delivery, so volunteers are needed to receive and sort the food items.
